At first
they thought nothing of it, October 2016, moments before Wasted Lights are due
on stage at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester. Ben Carney can see the crowd of
about 50 teens running to get to the barrier. Sweat running from both his and
the rest of the bands face, they realize that it was nothing like what they had
done before. This time it was different. The feeling was different this time.
The smell was different this time. They actually realized that some people love
their music. Success lingered in the air and they were so excited to start.
Ben, Jamie, Tom and Hannah where terrified, but what they were about to face
was going to be life changing. They got about 4 songs into their set and people
were screaming at the top of their lungs, crying, jumping about. The atmosphere
was so intense, there was such a buzz and everyone was going absolutely off.
Well
2016 has been a big one for WASTED LIGHTS.
From gigging in Manchester, to recording an EP, does it get much better?
Set to conquer beyond the North West, the band exclusively told us they are
currently at the studio recording! This four piece indie band has caught the
attention of a fair few people, and it only gets better from here. ‘Wasted
Lights’ is a name we’re sure you’ll become fairly acquainted with in the near
future. These four are determined to
succeed. But where did they come from?
